Scotties’ partnership with the Patriots celebrates the Softer Side of Strong, which includes the importance of good sportsmanship and teamwork while still being physically and mentally strong in sports and in the classroom. Vince embodies the Softer Side of Strong through his proven track record of strength on the field and his work with his own charity, the Vince Wilfork Foundation, among many other community groups. So, we brought in Vince to speak to the students about these important values – and have a little fun while they were at it!
In addition to surprising the students with a fun, interactive afternoon with Vince – featuring football drills, prize giveaways and music provided by local DJ, J.D. Whitfield – we announced the Kickoff Kid for the Patriots’ last regular season home game. This incredible opportunity was awarded to Diego Cardoso Morais, chosen by the school for his hard work and dedication to being a good student, teammate and classmate.
We also donated over 500 tissue boxes, featuring our exclusive Patriots box designs, to the students and the school as well as a check for $1,500 to be used for the school’s STEM education program!
We’re so happy we could celebrate the Softer Side of Strong by providing this exciting surprise for a group of deserving students. Check out photos from the event below.
As the official tissue of the New England Patriots and sponsor of the Scotties Kickoff Kid, we recently partnered with well-known and well-loved Patriots’ alumnus Vince Wilfork to host a very special surprise for students at Lila G. Frederick Pilot Middle School in Dorchester, MA.
